Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Godwill)

Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine is a first generation Ugandan American working in the mediums of photography, theatre, film and television. TV acting credits include the upcoming HBO series "TREME," created by David Simon (The Wire) and recurring roles on "HEROES, " "THE RICHES," "ER," and "CSI" to name a few. Film acting credits include "BLOOD DIAMOND" with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Theatre credits include lead acting roles at The Public Theatre, The Steppenwolf Theatre, The Kennedy Center, The Lincoln Center, ACT, The Long Wharf Theatre, and the National Tour of "Six Degrees of Separation." Playwriting credits include "BIRO", which held premieres in Uganda, London, New York, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Seattle, Zimbabwe, Los Angeles and Toronto.

Training: Masters of Fine Arts in Acting, New York University, and completed studies at The Moscow Arts Theatre in Russia, The Royal National Theatre in London and The University of Virginia. Ntare has served as Master Artist and Guest lecturer at Yale University, UCLA, The University of Virginia and is currently an Adjunct Professor at USC's MFA School of Acting. Following a grant from USAID, Ntare designed and implemented a practical training program for theatre artists engaged in HIV/AIDS advocacy, which has been implemented in nearly a dozen countries in Africa.
